Take, for example the patented exit wheel positioning system on the AF4 and AF5. This is a simple device that sets the output roller position based on the length of the folds being made. This device came about as a result of market study which showed that the most common source of paper jams in a folder was a failure to set the exit rollers. Users spend their time worrying about fold dimension setting, paper size and the like. They forget about the stacking (exit) rolls until they start to fold and jam up the machine. Not with an AF4 or AF5.
The ACCUFAST AF2 has been marketed for many years and has enjoyed exemplary in-service statistics. The AF2 is a compact machine that fits easily on top of a table and folds up to save space when it isn't being used. Schools, churches, copy centers and others just open up the in feed tray, pull out the catch tray, load paper and push a button. To change the location of folds, just loosen and rotate the fold selection knobs to the correct setting and fold pieces. The AF2 has a jog setting that allows for just a few pieces to be folded during the fold set up process. It's as simple and direct as can be.

The ACCUFAST AF2 has a patented removable fold cartridge that quickly snaps out of the machine to allow total access to the fold rollers. The ACCUFAST AF4 is the machine for a small print shop or in house print shop that needs simplicity, reliability and a rugged construction that generates the same level of performance for years.
The ACCUFAST AF4 is bolted and welded together from high grade steel. Plastic is reserved for the covers, exit wheel and the occasional latch. It is identical to the ACCUFAST AF5 except that the AF5 has an additional set up feature and variable speed. The AF5 uses a system of LED's to aid the operator in setting the fold dimensions after first selecting the paper size and fold type. The AF5's fold set LED's light the way to show where the paper stops should be set. As with the AF4, fine adjustments are made on the fly by turning the fine tune knobs on each fold plate.
The similarities between the AF4 and AF5 far outweigh the differences. The selection of one over the other is simple. If you are familiar with paper folding and think that setting up a folder is simple. Use the AF4. If not, use the AF5. The AF5 has just enough bells and whistles to make it easy to use without jeopardizing its reliability. There's not a lot to go wrong on the AF5, even less on the AF4.
